Northern Electronics Automation was founded in 1988 and like many exceptional companies; it started in a tiny garage. The founders, Steven LeBoeuf and Chuck Morshead, saw an opportunity, pooled their resources and industry experience, and started a reconditioned equipment business.

Within six months NEA’s success required a move into dedicated facility and during the following three years, NEA’s business grew by more than 500%.

In 1995, with less than ten years in business, we moved our remanufacturing operations into a modern facility located in Londonderry, New Hampshire adjacent to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. A year later, NEA was named one of the 500 fastest growing companies in America by INC Magazine.

NEA added Automated Test Equipment to its product line in 2002. By offering A.T.E. machines – also known as “in-circuit testers” – along with Functional Testers and Optical Inspection equipment, NEA is able to offer complete “start-to-finish” production line options to its customers.
